Architecture Meets Artistry
L. Alden Designs is a residential interior design studio founded by Elizabeth Alden Jones, bringing together a foundation in architectural design with a lifelong love of color, textiles, art and beautifully made things.
Our approach balances structure with personality—thoughtful space planning and classic foundations layered with pattern, antiques, original art and unexpected finds. The result is a home that feels considered without feeling overly decorated.
A graduate of VCU School of the Arts, Elizabeth began her career in interior design in Richmond before moving to Boston, where she worked with Hudson Interiors. After returning to Virginia, she founded L. Alden Designs. Her early training continues to inform her work today, with particular attention to proportion, flow and the relationship between a home's architecture and the way it is furnished.
A Collaborative Approach
Designing a home is personal. We work closely with our clients to understand what they're drawn to, how they use their spaces and what they want their homes to become. From there, we bring experience, resources and a trained eye to the process—making thoughtful decisions, solving the inevitable challenges and keeping the larger vision in focus.
